Can my girl attend both sessions of camp?

YES! Camp GOTR hosts two different themes so families have the option to register for the camp theme they prefer - Or both themes!

1.  "Girls Have Heart"  Throughout this week girls will have fun exploring FRIENDSHIPS with activities designed to discover what makes a good friend and how to be a good friend to others.

2.  "Girls Have Power"  Throughout this week girls will have fun exploring EMOTIONS with activities designed to identify and respond to their emotions and how to recognize emotions in others and offer support.

We can't afford the program registration fee, but our child would love to participate. How does financial aid work?

We NEVER want cost to be the reason she doesn't participate and are committed to making Girls on the Run accessible to all who want to particpate! Thanks to the generosity of donors, grants, and community supporters, financial aid is available to any girl who needs it. Financial aid eligibility is included in the online registration process through a series of questions to determine eligibility. Families will know immediately if financial aid is awarded and the fee will be adjusted accordingly. (Eligibility is based on a sliding scale based on household size and income.)

My girl isn't a big runner. Is this program for her? OR My girl is already a skilled runner. Is this program for her?

Yes! GOTR is so much more than running!  Every girl can benefit from the experience of building confidence through accomplishment while participating in our rich, curriculum-based, age-appropriate, interactive lessons and team-building. She can expect lots of games, talking, laughing and creative expression each day. And know that when we say "run," we mean run, walk, skip, roll or push, just as long as you are moving foward!

Is there a way for me or my business to sponsor an individual girl, a team of girls, or a Camp GOTR session?

Yes! As a mission-driven 501(c)3, Girls on the Run relies on generous donors in order to provide more than $30,000 in program scholarships for families in need. Please reach out to candice.mcintosh@girlsontherun.org to receive more information about sponsoring a girl or a team of girls this season.
