Registration Fees

Inspiring girls, teaching life skills, building confidence and setting young girls down the path of a healthy lifestyle is PRICELESS! However, there are real costs associated with operating a non-profit organization, training our volunteer coaches and delivering Girls on the Run programming to approximately 400+ girls throughout our 10-county area each year.

The actual cost of programming per girl is $270, however through the generosity of donors we are able to reduce the cost of the registration to $150 per girl. Registration includes:

  • 20 ninety-minute practices led by trained GOTR volunteer coaches
  • All curriculum and lesson materials
  • A healthy snack at each practice
  • Official GOTR program shirt
  • GOTR water bottle
  • Personal Girl Jounal for goal-setting, growth and reflection
  • Her 5K registration fee for our Celebratory 5K event
  • Her 5K Finisher's Medal
  • 5K Celebratory fun

My girl isn't a big runner. Is this program for her? OR My girl is already a skilled runner. Is this program for her?

Yes! GOTR is so much more than running!  Every girl can benefit from the experience of building confidence through accomplishment while participating in our rich, curriculum-based, age-appropriate, interactive lessons and team-building. She can expect lots of games, talking, laughing and creative expression each day. And know that when we say "run," we mean run, walk, skip, roll or push, just as long as you are moving foward!

What does the $150 registration fee include?

A total of 10 weeks of programming / 20 lessons that are led by GOTR-trained coaches
A personal "Girl Journal"
A cinch sack/bag for her own GOTR items
All curriculum and lesson materials needed for the season
An official Girls on the Run season program shirt and water bottle
A healthy snack at each practice
Registration and entry fee into our Celebratory 5K event
5K Finisher's medal

We can't afford the program registration fee, but our child would love to participate. How does financial aid work?

We NEVER want cost to be the reason she doesn't participate and are committed to making Girls on the Run accessible to all who want to particpate! Thanks to the generosity of donors, grants, and community supporters, financial aid is available to any girl who needs it. Financial aid eligibility is included in the online registration process through a series of questions to determine eligibility. Families will know immediately if financial aid is awarded and the fee will be adjusted accordingly. (Eligibility is based on a sliding scale based on household size and income.)

When does the Spring 2023 Season begin?

Practices will begin in the week of February 20th with her practices being the same days and times each week. The culminating event will be the 5K on Saturday, May 6th. More information regarding the 5K will be shared by our GOTR council and by your girl's coaches once the season begins.

Does my girl have to attend all 20 practices in the season?

Yes! Our Attendace Policy is that girls may miss no more than 4 practices because our GOTR lessons and activities build up from one day's lesson to the next. We also focus on individual goal-setting and team-building. AND, remember she is also training to conquer her 5K goals at the ends of the season - attendance is imperative!

Therefore, if your girl will be unable to follow our Attendance Policy, please do not take a slot and save room for a girl who can attend 100% of the time. We hope you will consider joining us in a future season when she can enjoy the entire season of GOTR.

Is there a way for me or my business to sponsor an individual girl, a team of girls, or a Camp GOTR session?

Yes! As a mission-driven 501(c)3, Girls on the Run relies on generous donors in order to provide more than $30,000 in program scholarships for families in need. Please reach out to candice.mcintosh@girlsontherun.org to receive more information about sponsoring a girl or a team of girls this season.
